Sometimes when it is too cold outside and I don't feel like doing something else but lying on my bed, I love to turn on my fairy lights of my little christmas tree in my room and read a book to escape from this quite busy exhausting world.
Today we want to show you two beautiful books we like to read in the christmas time...

1. Little Lord Fountleroy
The novel "Little Lord Foundleroy" tells the story of the loveable young boy called Cedric Errol who lives together with his mother in a shappy side street in New York. They don't have anything but the love to each other after his father died.
One day an English lawyer visits them to deliver a message of Cedric's grandfather who's the Earl of Dorincourt but from who they haven't heard a single word since Cedric's father married his mother.
The Earl of Dorincourt despises America and was deeply disappointed by the decision of his son to marry an American girl.
But by the deaths of his father's elder brothers, Cedric is now Lord Fauntleroy and his grandfather wants him to live with him in his house to turn him into a British aristocrat.
The Earl is known for his inequitable actions and his pride. However, the crusty man is impressed by the Cedric's appereance, his intelligents but also by his amicability and his talent to comunicate with other people.
Cedric, a trusting child, believes that his grandfather is the most affectionate man all over the world and because the Earl can not bear to disappoint is beloved grandson he changes his way of acting and behaves in a more gently way and he and Cedric becomes the best friends. But then....

We also advice you to watch the film as well. Especially at Christmas it is a film which shows you that it can make oneself happy to treat others.

2. Pride & Prejudice
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in a posession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife... (<3 <3 <3 <3 <3)
Although this is not a typical Christmas novel, I love to read it in the time before Christmas because it takes one into another time. The beautiful Jane Austen writes in such a lovely way that one could think you live in this time as well.
For those of you who don't know the story of the Bennet sisters at all, this is the plot:
Elizabeth Bennet, the second oldest of five sisters, is a woman who's is far ahead of her time, in which the most important ambition of a woman is to marry. The novel begins with an arguement between her parents. Her mother, a woman of mean understanding, little information and uncertain temper, has made it her bussiness to get her daughters married. She wants to become acquainted with a young man of large fortune who has taken a big house called Netherfield Park, which is near to their own home Longbourn. Thus, the Bennets visit a ball to meet the new neighbour called Mr Bingley who falls in love with eldest Ms Bennett, Jane. Whereas his friend Mr Darcy who is proud, grumpy and rude at first, falls head over heels in love with Elizabeth Bennet who is too proud and wayward herself to reciprocate his feelings...

We also advice you to watch this beautiful movie as well. It's with the gorgeous Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Bennet), Rosamund Pike (Jane Bennet) and Donald Sutherland (Mr Bennet)!!!
